If you can reduce energy consumption in commercial and residential by 50%, it is immediate and hits the bottom line today. If USGBC through its LEED certification can reduce our dependence on foreign oil, lower our carbon dioxide emissions as a nation, impact global warming, reduce stress on our energy infrastructure grid, reestablish our national security and revitalize our manufacturing economy...sign me up!
