USGBC - Colorado Staff

Deb Kleinman, Executive Director

Deb has served as the Colorado Chapter's Executive Director since September 2007. While Deb is a Colorado native, having been born at General Rose Memorial Hospital in Denver, she was raised for the most part in the midwest. She has a BA in environmental history from Carleton College, a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan, and spent several years dabbled in a graduate level Forest Ecology program. Prior to joining USGBC-Colorado, Deb started her own small consulting firm focused on supporting nonprofits and government agencies with strategic planning, program and policy evaluation, and other projects.

Patti Mason, LEED AP, Director of Advocacy

Patti joined the USGBC Colorado staff in May 2008 after completing a Master's degree in Natural Resources Law and Policy from the University of Denver. Before moving to Denver, Patti lived in Fort Collins and earned her BA in journalism from Colorado State University. Patti oversaw the Chapter's education and advocacy programs for over a year, but has been able to focus full time on green building advocacy and policy since October 2009.

Kate Long, Education Coordinator

Kate joined the USGBC Colorado staff in the spring of 2010 as the chapter Education Coordinator. Kate received her Bachelors in Interior Design as well as Technology from Texas State University. Prior to moving from Austin, she worked in the hospitality, small commercial, and residential interior design sectors. Additionally she served as the President of ASID Texas State University Chapter. Kate is currently pursuing her Masters in Interior Design at Colorado State University.
