Call For Session ProposalsLong Live the West - Greenbuild 2009 in PhoenixBy Dana Kose,LEED AP, Director of Sustainability, Universal Development Company
Greenbuild 2009 will be in Phoenix November 11-13, 2009, and we want to make sure that Colorado and the West Region are in the spotlight! The Call for Session Proposals for Greenbuild 2009 has already been issued, and the deadline for all proposals is January 16, 2009. The West Region includes the states of Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. The recent LEED Regionalization effort confirmed that all of these states face similar issues such as drought conditions/water shortages, depleting aquifers, “dirty” energy sources, minimum on-site renewable usage (when most conditions are ideal for it), etc. Let’s education the national green building community of how to solve these issues by submitting high quality proposals from our Colorado green building community!
