By Brianne Smith, April Wackerman, and Maggie Davis

Events

** Green-n-Grub on November 11th, featuring Keymark: an innovative, 100employee, companywith offices in Boulder and a North Denver factory devoted to making it more cost effective and efficient to build custom homes and other light frame/steel buildings.

** 3rd Annual Fall Event on November 17th, with food, drink, and our region’s green accomplishments for the year, our annual event is a celebration of USGBC in northern Colorado. It’s a perfect opportunity for people to become members and get involved with all of the volunteer opportunities with USGBC. The results of our High Performance Site charrette will also be presented.

** Green Drinks on December 16th , a chance to get into the holiday spirit and enjoy the company of other green-minded individuals. Free beer and good food always helps to warm a December evening!

Volunteer Opportunities

** The Advocacy Committee is looking for proactive individuals that want to spread the message about sustainable opportunities in our communities. The committee is focused on educating municipalities and legislators on green issues and advocating for green codes and standards.

** The Education and Events Committee has openings available in coordinating educational programs in northern Colorado. Specifically, we are looking for people to coordinate speakers, food, or locations on a monthly basis.

** The Communications Committee is looking for volunteers to help with the website, our social media presence, and our year in review and slideshow.

** The Membership Committee is looking for volunteers to help organize our membership database, recognize our active members, and recruit new members.
