USGBC Natural Talent 2009 Design Competition

Showing of a Master Speaker presentation from Greenbuild 2008:

Bring a brown bag lunch, and listen to a presentation by Van Jones, President & Founder of "Green for All". Van Jones is the founder and president of Green For All where he is working to combine solutions to America's two biggest problems: social inequality and environmental destruction by creating. Van is also a founder of a new national coalition that is promoting the idea of a national "Clean Energy Jobs Corps" as well as the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. He is the recipient of several awards including the 1998 Reebok International Human Rights Award, the international Ashoka Fellowship, selection as a World Economic Forum "Young Global Leader" and the Rockefeller Foundation "Next Generation Leadership" Fellowship.

Mitchell Block Building Hard Hat Tour and Happy Hour

Join us for a hard hat tour of the Mitchell Block Building, the four-story building at the corner of Mountain and Walnut in Fort Collins.  Designed by Neenan Archistruction, the building is hoping to achieve LEED Gold Certification.   

Apres Tour Happy Hour will be hosted at CTL Thompson.  Come network and socialize with fellow green building professionals.

Important note: 

This is an active jobsite.

Shorts, skirts, open toed shoes or high-heels will NOT be permitted on the tour.  Please dress accordingly.  Bring your own hard hat, if you have one.

Sustainable Sites in Colorado Charrette

The Northern Colorado Branch of the Colorado Chapter of USGBC will be hosting a collaborative dialogue focused on real or perceived barriers to developing sustainable sites in Colorado. We intend to engage a variety of decision makers and building professionals in order to gain a better understanding of how to develop sustainable sites in our region.
