JOB TITLE:
Senior Building Performance Engineer
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
M.E. Group’s Green Services Division is seeking a Senior Building Performance Engineer with at least four years experience conducting ASHRAE Level 3 energy auditing and retro commissioning of existing buildings to provide leadership and project delivery for the firm.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Professional designation of Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Licensed EIT or P.E. (P.E. preferred)
- Proficient with DOE 2 energy simulation with strong experience in IES-VE, eQuest, or EnergyPlus.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
- Ability to manage budget and personnel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Four years of experience in conducting ASHRAE Level 3 energy auditing.
- Four years experience in integrate building systems design.
- Four years Retro Commissioning experience, to diagnose issues related to mechanical and electrical systems related to; controls, equipment deficiencies, test and balance issues, and building automation systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Direct firm’s Energy Auditing procedures.
- Conduct ASHRAE Level 1,2,& 3 audits.
- Ensure that retro-commissioning and energy audit reports are supported and documented accurately.
- Develop dynamic energy conservation recommendations which holistically evaluate project needs and opportunities.
- Develop measurement and verification plans for multiple projects.
- Implement strategies for clients to meet the policies established by federal and state energy-efficiency programs.
- Serve as a mentor for firm engineering staff with respect to controls, system design, and energy auditing processes.
